Day 1: ARRIVAL TRANSFER TO PHUNSTLING HOTEL
On arrival to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station, , YOU WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO A Phunstling Hotel for an overnight stay after a delicious dinner on the way . Check in to your hotel and can take rest.
Day 2: PHUNSTLING to THIMPU TRANSFER TO THIMPU
After Breakfast & Permit Formality, You Will Be Smoothly Transferred To The Thimpu, Capital City of Bhutan.
Day 3: THIMPU THIMPU CITY TOUR
After Breakfast Thimphu sightseeing includes - visit to National Library, the priceless collection of Buddhist manuscripts and few English version books; Folk and Heritage Museum, which displays day to day livelihood of typical Bhutanese farmers in medieval period and their accessories; Late King’s Memorial Stupa, built for the world peace and Traditional Handmade Paper Factory; Painting School, which preserves our traditional paintings, sculpturing and wood curving; Majestic Tashichhodzong, which houses office for the king and the ministers and National Handicraft Emporium, the best place to look for souvenir from Bhutan. Evening free walk in Thimphu City..
Day 4: THIMPU - PUNAKHA TRANSFER TO PUNAKHA
After Breakfast & Permit Formality, You Will Be Smoothly Transferred To The Punakha .
Day 5: THIMPU to PARO PUNAKHA CITY TOUR & TRANSFER TO PARO
Morning After Breakfast , visit the traditional Hand Made Paper Mill, School of Arts and Crafts where students learn 13 different arts used predominantly in Bhutan, Folk Heritage Museum, National Library and the Traditional Institute of Medicine. Drive to the Zilukha nunnery to meet the nuns and interact with them. Lunch in the town and drive to Paro through Dochula pass (3200 mts) If the weather permits one can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a site that stretches almost 180 degrees. Walk around the 108 stupas and continue hike to the temple of Chimi Lakhang, the temple of fertility associated with religious art of phallus. Visit Punakha Dzong (fortress) which houses the most elaborated temple in the country & Paro Dzong (Fortress) on foot and continue walking through the oldest wooden bridge still in use.. After the Punakha tour, you will be smoothly transferred to Paro.
Day 6: PARO PARO CITY TOUR
Morning After Breakfast Morning drive to the base for the hike (2 hrs uphill) to Tiger's Nest, the most revered temple in the country that literally hangs on a granite cliff overlooking the Paro valley. Most of the day will go on the hike. . proceed towards Drukgyel Dzong, 14 kilometres from the Paro town. Also known as the fortress of victory Drukgyel Dzong was built by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1649 to commemorate the victory over Tibetan invaders in 1644. On the way to Drukgyel Dzong you can view Takshang Monastery, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the floor of Paro valley. Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche, who brought Buddhism to Bhutan in the eighth century flew to a cave in Taktshang spot on a tigress and mediated for three months. Return to Paro town for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Paro Dzong also called the Rinchen Phug Dzong, which means fortress on a heap of Jewels. Paro Dzong is one of the most impressive and well-known dzongs of Bhutan and was built in 1644.
Day 7: PARO to PHUNSTLING TRANSFER TO PHUNSTLING
After Breakfast &, Permit Formality, You Will Be Smoothly Transferred To The Phunstling,
Day 8: DEPARTURE: PHUNSTLING TO BAGDOGRA TRANSFER TO AIRPORT /STATION
