Itinerary
Day 1: Guwahati
Today you will arrive at Guwahati city. Our representative will meet and greet you on arrival, transfer directly to Shillong. En-route Borapani Umiam Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. Arrive at Shillong, check in at your hotel. In the afternoon visit the local market. Stay Overnight at your hotel in Shillong.
Day 2: Cherrapunjee - Guwahati
After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (60 kms), the wettest place in the world. The beautiful waterfall-Noh-ka-likai is at Cherrapunjee. You can also explore some of the caves in and around Cherrapunjee. Return to Shillong, en-route visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views you can enjoy the city, tourists spots like Lady Hydari park, Polo ground, which is one of the best in the country. Back to Guwahati.
Day 3: Guwahati - Bhalukpong
After breakfast, early in the morning check out from the hotel, drive to Nilachal hill where Maa Kamakhya temple is situated , after darshan return to city and visit then Navagraha Temple , Vashista Ashram (if time permit ), after that proceed to Bhalukpong, another 06 hours journey. Overnight at Bhalukpong.
Day 4: Bhalukpong
After breakfast, proceed to Dirang, en route Tipi, it is located nearby to Bhalukpong, one of the most famous tourist destinations thanks to the Orchidarium here. Tipi Orchidarium has over thusands of varieties of orchids. The Orchid Glass House located at the centre of the Orchidarium is a feast to your eyes. The orchids are wonderfully displayed in hanging baskets and some on pots. Proceed to Dirang. Overnight at Dirang.
Day 5: Dirang - Tawang
After breakfast, transfer to Tawang. En-route we cross Sella Pass, the highest Motorable Road in Eastern Himalaya at about 14000ft above the Sea level and Jaswant Garh (China – Indo War Memorial). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6: Tawang
After breakfast, we visit Tawang Monastery, the 400yrs old, 6th birth place of Dalai Lama, Local Market, Craft Centre and Ani Gompa (Nanery), You will explore a mesmerizing lake called Shonga-tser Lake, famously called Madhuri Lake . An earthquake in this region resulted in the formation of Shonga-tser Lake in 1971, which until then was grassland that served the cattle of the locals here. The lake with picturesque snow-capped mountains surrounding it and the valley offer spectacular views, Proceed to Bumla pass (if weather remain conducive). Return back to Tawang for overnight stay.
Day 7: Tawang - Bomdila
After breakfast, transfer to Bomdila. Enroute we visit Jung Water fall. Check in the hotel on arrival. After lunch visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gompa), Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa), Bomdila View Point. Bomdila offers wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes and snow clad ranges. Evening you can visit the local market. Overnight stay in Bomdila. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8: Bomdila
After breakfast, early morning leave for Kaziranga. the home of the Great Indian One horned Rhinocerous. Other residents of the park include elephants, Indian Bison, four species of deer, tiger, leopard. Capped Langur, wild boar, hoolock gibbon, hornbill, ibis, cormorant, egret, heron, fishing eagle and a host of migratory birds including Pelicans. We check in at resort/tourist lodges. Overnight at Kaziranga
Day 9: Safari- Guwahati
Elephant Safari. Return to hotel from Breakfast After breakfast, enjoy Jeep Safari. you have to check out from the hotel asap and proceed to Guwahati to catch the flight, you have to almost travel 05 hours to reach the airport at Guwahati.
